Perch

The best part about living in so many different neighborhoods during my two decades in San Francisco is that I have my favorite shops and people in each. Some of those have become favorite spots in The City, and Perch in Glen Park tops my list. Perch is my go-to destination if I need a gift, even if I'm not sure what I'm looking for! For the past 15 years, Perch has offered an eclectic range of items, from unique jewelry and candles to playful greeting cards, housewares (yay, cookbooks!), and a kids' section. Perch features local artisans and often carries hard-to-find items. I once visited with a friend who was thrilled to find her favorite hand sanitizer she couldn't find anywhere else (oh Covid, what have we become?!?). When I visit, I enjoy chatting with owner Zoel Fages and relish browsing his current selections. It's not uncommon for me to do multiple laps around the shop, so I don't miss a thing. Do yourself a favor and visit Perch next time you need to find a unique gift, or better yet, send me, and I'll find something perfect.
